The first words that pop into my head when I think of the Master Matchmakers’ relationship coaches are understanding, expert, and trust. I, like most people, was very nervous about having to get a relationship coach because I thought only complete losers needed help finding love. Master Matchmakers helped me realize that my line of thinking was not the case at all, in fact, there were more people like me seeking this help and it was a good thing. They made it very easy to open up because they have a way with people, an innate understanding of what each individual needs and is looking for in a relationship. I think the best part about working with my Master Matchmakers’ relationship coach was that even though she probably knew all of my relationship “flaws” within the first session, she did not just point them out to me and move on as quickly as possible. She made me realize my bad habits and why they were being a road block to any potential partner I was meeting. She became a person that I knew I could trust because she truly had my best interest at heart. Even after our sessions ended she made it clear to me that she would still help me out whenever I needed because she was not only a relationship coach, but also a friend. The coaches are experts at what they do, and have the experience and proof of happy couples to back them up. If everybody would take a course on love we would have much healthier relationships and less heartbreak.

After being in 3 relationships spanning 13 back to back years, I entered the dating pool of New York City...well, more like the dating ocean/bottomless pit. I've never had to go "fishing" in said ocean (meaning I have never dated - EVER) and let me tell you, it wasn't easy. I didn't know where to begin - so I just threw out a bunch of nets - friends (all are married and have only married friends), coworkers (my industry is filled with sharks) and online dating - do I even need to tell you how that went? Like fishing in the Bering Sea at midnight in a row boat with no bait (get the picture?)... If I did catch anything in these rather holey nets - I inevitably ended up throwing it back... and it was EXHAUSTING.... painful even... Then one day, I stumbled upon a Master Matchmaker sponsored event - well, the event was closed - but the website was intriguing. I figured why not send them my info? The nets I was using were clearly not working and honestly, what's the worst that could happen? They don't respond? Trust me, after several of the dates I had recently been on - NOT hearing back from someone was a welcomed event! But I did hear back - almost right away in fact! I got an email, which led to a phone call - during which they comforted me and told me my (very short-lived) fishing career was not futile and that there was love out there for me - but that I just needed the right tools. Enter my Matchmaker. She got to know me and learned about my dating history (or lack thereof). She then hooked me up with my Relationship Coach. They put me through some drills (making a list of my strengths and weaknesses, making a list of my wants, identifying couples and men who I admire, etc.) and then gave me navigation tools (how to attract people, how to keep them interested, as well as when to cut and run!). But most importantly, they made me take a good hard look at myself and how I conduct myself, as well as how men interpret how I conduct myself. It didn't take me long to realize that I was scaring the fish away - and also why I was scaring them! Silly little fish - they are so skittish ;-) I am happy to say I am now ready to go fishing and I am actually looking forward to it! More importantly, I have the right tools for deep sea fishing and the right bait - me.

Certainly, I was apprehensive about consulting Master Matchmakers concerning some assistance and relationship coaching to help me find that one very special lady as I did not know what to expect. I worked with Master Matchmakers’ Relationship Coaching for 3 hourly sessions to focus on finding my match in life. I found their Relationship Coaches to be easy to work with, inspirational, and thought provoking. Their coaching style was even keeled and not pushy but yet they were able to get me to view myself and my relationships in a light that made sense and allowed me to view myself and what was important to me clearly. I appreciated the honesty, candor and caring manner. They managed to get to the most important elements of my past relationships and who I was quickly. I walked away from these sessions truly understanding what was important to me in a relationship, what was important in the man's qualities and beliefs that would fit into my life and create a successful relationship. Most importantly I learned not to settle or stay in a relationship that I knew was not the most appropriate or best one for me long term. I also learned to trust my feelings. The most important thing that my Relationship Coach said to me over these 3 hours of discussions was this "you teach people how to treat you".
