Nothing says springtime in Washington, D.C., quite like cherry trees in bloom. It goes without saying that few things are more romantic than a stroll among these sweet-smelling pink and white blossoms. This weekend, the National Park Service announced the expected peak bloom for cherry trees in the National Mall and Memorial Parks. Want to take your actual or potential sweetheart on a date that costs nothing and could live in your hearts forever? Make plans to visit the National Mall between Friday, April 10th, and Tuesday, April 14th, to experience the dramatic rebirth of spring in all of its glory.

Of course, D.C.’s National Cherry Blossom Festival already kicked off on March 20th, but the biggest events are happening through the next two weeks. Take free fitness classes at the Washington Monument, learn landscape painting with ArtJamz, attend the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, or go on dozens of other great dates associated with the festival.
