3. How We Disclose Personal Information

Members and Clients. Matchmaking requires us to show your profile and photographs to people to whom you may be introduced, according to the visibility choices in your account. Your contact information is exchanged only after you and the other person have both accepted the introduction.

Service providers. We disclose personal information to companies that perform services for us under contract, such as identity verification and background screening, payment processing, website and portal hosting, telephone, video and call recording systems, email and text delivery, customer relationship management, and analytics. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.

Legal and safety. We may disclose personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, a subpoena or court order, to cooperate with law enforcement, to resolve disputes, or to protect the rights or safety of Master Matchmakers, our staff, our users or others.

Business transfers. Personal information may be transferred to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets or bankruptcy, subject to this Privacy Policy and to any consent requirement in your agreement with us or under applicable law.

Affiliates. We may disclose personal information to entities under common ownership or control with us, which must handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

What we do not do. We do not sell your profile, photographs, background information or contact information, and we do not give them to third parties for their own marketing. We do not share text messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties.

4. Cookies and Advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and measure and deliver our advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; if you block all cookies, parts of the Site may not work.

We use advertising and analytics technologies provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC. These providers may collect identifiers and internet activity information from your device when you visit our public website so that we can measure our advertising and show our ads to you and to people like you on other websites and apps. We do not allow these technologies inside the client portal, and we do not provide your profile, photographs or background information to advertising providers.

You can limit this collection by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings and by using the advertising preference controls that those providers make available in your account with them. Our Site does not respond to "Do Not Track" or similar browser signals.

5. Recording of Calls and Communications

In the ordinary course of our business, we record inbound and outbound telephone calls and other verbal communications between you and Master Matchmakers, including video conferences, coaching sessions and consultations. We record these communications for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and service improvement purposes.

If you have signed an agreement with us that contains a recording consent, that consent applies to all of your communications with us and no further notice is required. Otherwise, we will tell you at the beginning of a communication that it is being recorded, by an automated message or by our representative, and by continuing with the communication after that notice you consent to the recording. If you do not consent, please tell us at the beginning of the communication so that we can address your request or end the communication.

Recordings are personal information and are retained, used, protected and disclosed as described in this Privacy Policy.

6. How Long We Keep Personal Information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above, based on these criteria:

  • Profile, photographs and background information: for as long as your membership or client account is active, and after your services end if you have asked us to keep your profile available for consideration, until you ask us to delete it.
  • Identity verification and background screening results: for as long as your account is active.
  • Recordings of calls and video sessions: up to seven years after the recording, or longer if needed for legal purposes.
  • Contracts, payment and transaction records: up to seven years after the transaction, for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
  • Website and device activity: up to 24 months.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish or defend legal claims.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, including encryption of information in transit to and from the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your information may be stored and processed on computer systems located outside your state or country of residence.

We will still send messages about your account, your transactions and the services you have purchased.

Changes and deletions apply to our own records going forward. They do not recall information already provided to a person to whom you were introduced or to a payment processor for a completed transaction.

9. California Residents

Master Matchmakers is not a "business" covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act because we do not meet its revenue or data-volume thresholds and do not sell personal information. As a voluntary commitment, and not as a legal obligation, we extend the following courtesies to California residents. We may change or withdraw this commitment by updating this Privacy Policy.

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy of it;
  • correct personal information that is inaccurate; and
  • delete personal information we collected from you, except information we need to complete a transaction, comply with law, resolve disputes, or protect the safety of our users and staff.

We will not treat you differently for making a request.

How to make a request. Email info@mastermatchmakers.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or write to Master Matchmakers, 6231 PGA Blvd., 104-244, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on the Site with a new "Last revised" date.
