How to Tell a Phoenix Firm From a Phoenix Landing Page
This is the one piece of due diligence I would not skip here, because Phoenix attracts more of it than most markets. An Arizona page costs nothing to build, so plenty of operations run one from another state, and some of the sites that rank well are lead-generation networks that collect your details and sell them onward rather than firms that will ever match you. The tells are consistent. An 800 number instead of a 480, 602, or 623 line. No named owner, only a generic team. Copy that reads identically to the same company's page for three other cities. An address that turns out to be a mail drop, or none at all.
Two checks resolve most of it in five minutes: whose name is on the practice, and where the business actually sits. A landing page proves nothing; an address and an area code prove a lot. Then ask what the sites tend to skip. Is there a criminal background check on every introduction or only an interview, do you see a verified profile and photos before you agree to meet, and does the contract expire. Where you sit in the Valley's professional class should drive this choice more than any badge on the page. The Silicon Desert build-out, Intel's Chandler operations and the TSMC fabs rising in north Phoenix, has pulled in engineers who read a matchmaking contract the way they read a spec sheet, as has the aerospace and defense base around Honeywell in Phoenix and Boeing in Mesa.
